Since coming back from my whirlwind tour of the Baltic, I’ve been making some changes to my apartment. I purchased some new furniture and because it’s been so hot and humid here in Istanbul, staying inside and organizing my things has been a welcome relief.
The political/protest situation around here has calmed down and it’s been really nice to be back in Istanbul, just hanging around. However, word is that things will most likely heat up in September when schools are back in session. On Istiklal, there is a constant police presence with full swat gear at the ready.
In the meantime, if you have an extra five minutes, enjoy this new video of my apartment:
I love your apartment! It does look soo comfortable and very inviting. I like the dining room table — looks good. Thanks for sharing your space, I like thinking of you in your lovely surroundings!
So stoked you did that – I live vicariously through you –
peace
It is the most comfortable space on earth! Your street reminds me of residence streets in San Francisco. Little convenience store, tailor, cleaners and “boop boop” street noise. You will let us know when school starts and all about your new class won’t you?
That’s what touches your hand is a different beauty……….
